FOR LGV DRIVER

Driver CPC for PCV Drivers in Cardiff South Wales.  Each of our seven hour PCV driver cpc courses are designed to be interactive, varied, interesting and appealing to professional PCV drivers regardless of the type of PCV vehicle that you drive.

Emergency First Aid - The course provides basic life-saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, managing of an incident, the priorities of first aid, treatment of an unconscious casualty, resuscitation and dealing with individuals suffering with shock, choking, bleeding and common workplace injuries.

Health & Safety and Disability Awareness - This course covers the key areas of Health and Safety Legislation, workplace accidents and conducting basic risk assessments.  It also provides information on how to identify and assist where necessary passengers who may have a disability.

PCV Roadside Safety - Designed to make you more aware of the responsibilities surrounding a PCV Driver in an emergency situation.  Key areas covered include vehicle breakdown, road traffic accidents, how to safely deal with a vehicle fire, you passenger’s protection, load restraint and the forces of inertia.

The Drivers Day, Legal and Social - This course provides reminders on the mass of legislation surrounding the operation of goods and passenger carrying vehicles, both current and future, from tachographs and smuggling, to route planning and industrial safety.

Communication Skills and Customer Care - Designed for a PCV Driver to understand and accept the need for good communication skills. The main aim of the course is to enhance good customer relationships between the driver and passengers.

Driving Safety - Designed to make you more aware of the capabilities and safety systems in modern vehicles. This course looks at the drive train and its components, adhesion limits of tyres, active and passive safety systems, how to avoid dangerous situations along with the function and operation of digital tachographs.
